Kapalabhati, sometimes known as fire breath, is a core awakening breathing exercise. When done properly, this pranayama practice awakens the abdominal muscles and clears the mind of stagnation. This pranayama practice is not recommended for pregnancy, recent abdominal surgery, or during menstruation.
Our “core” is more than just our abdominal muscles- it is the centre of our body. To maintain a healthy back, it is essential to have a strong and balanced core. In this practice, we practice a variety of strengthening postures to engage the entire core.
